YOUR REMOTE WORK ASSISTANT

as we move into the digital age, companies seek overseas talent - this means that companies often manage remote employees.

HOW MIGHT WE…

help create a more collaborate, effective remote working environment?

STEP 1: Market

WHO?

one - remote workers.
two - workers with disabilities.
three - companies operating in multiple countries.
four - young working professionals

USER INSIGHTS - SAMPLE (1 OF 8 INTERVIEWS)

Jeanette has six employees with three based locally, two based in San Francisco and one based in Tel Aviv.

REASON FOR EMPLOYING A GLOBAL, REMOTE TEAM - Our company provides student entrepreneurship programs to Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv and Singapore. When we’re managing our students over there it’s useful to have someone based there in case anything goes wrong. I met most of the team here in Melbourne but it just so happened that they decided to move overseas!’

MOST COMMON PRODUCTIVITY APPS USED ORGANISATIONALLY - ‘The main ones we use are Slack, Trello and Whatsapp. We keep all our assets on Google Drive but it can get pretty fidgety at times when you have like ten Google accounts!’

ISSUES FACED WHEN MANAGING REMOTE TEAM - ‘It’s a bit difficult to remember where bits of information are when you’re dealing with multiple apps. Our partnership lead also deals with Hubspot so when we’re emailing him and messaging him at the same time it messes with his productivity. Additionally, it’s a bit hard to remind my team to keep updating the Trello board!’

STEP 2: Ideation
