Built as a solution to Hong Kong's growing population density concerns, HangOn is a wall-mounted storage unit that considers the everyday products used by an individual, and stores them in ways which make it easily accessible. The use of hooks and pop-button pegs are playful in engaging the user as well as minimising the necessary space, creating a seamless experience.
HangOn is also an experimentation of three different materials that exist: wood, plastic and metal. It is an exploration of how these three can co-exist and add value to a product, both functionally and aesthetically. The warmth of the teak-stained wood took numerous tone experimentations to establish a tone that kindles a sense of warmth and home.
